Born and raised in Crosby, Texas Paige Young recently obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design at the University of Houston Clear Lake. Prior to that she attended San Jacinto College where she received an Associate of Arts degree in Fine Arts as well as Interior Design. She showcased her work at the annual student shows and Space Center Houston.
Bio
In my work I piece together found materials that work with the art being created and alter it in the process by changing the color or physically destroying it. I tend to keep most work organic and earth felt, by using objects such as leaves and rocks. Carefully selected color schemes play the biggest role in achieving the final product. Everyday life constantly inspires new ideas and themes that hopefully impacts the viewer and allows them to question art itself.
